Dear Ron,

My apologies for the short statement on the Voter's pamphlet, they give only 325 words to cover all the necessary topics. Quite inadequate for a good explanation of a lengthy topic.

You can find on my website a link from my home page to the specifics of my stand on the 2nd amendment.

I am a member of the NRA. I support their platform completely. The purpose of a well organized militia is for defense of the homeland, and protection of the people against the threat of an encroaching tyranny of the government. I believe every person has the right, and duty to be part of that militia. We have neglected that responsibility as a people, and we do so at our peril.

Dear Thomas,

Excellent! I am a Life Member of the NRA, and a firm believer that any law abiding citizen who wishes, may own and carry firearms for self defense and any other legitimate purpose. I am a retired police detective and too often have seen the results of unarmed citizens who fell prey to predatory criminals. I also am a believer in a citizen militia, in the classic sense, who have a duty to protect our communities, our state and our nation from enemies, foreign and domestic.
